My Approach

I work with folks of all ages and walks of life, children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy is a creative and collaborative process that fosters your ability to trust yourself and live your life in a way that feels meaningful and authentic to you. I work with clients in exploring their inner worlds to facilitate new ways to engage with themselves and others where I view my role as creating space for you to show up as your fully human self, exactly as you are. Being seen, heard, and witnessed non-judgmentally is one of the most powerfully healing experiences we can have.

I believe that humans have the innate propensity for growth, the proclivity towards healing, and the resilience to move through and overcome life’s challenges. You are the expert of your experience, and my role is to act as a companion who walks alongside you while helping you reconnect with your innate strength and wisdom while navigating through your pain to find direction, healing, and empowerment.

I utilize emotionally focused, EMDR, sandtray, family systems, psychoeducational, and other experiential modalities rooted in attachment theory. I believe that each person is unique so I take an individualized approach to meet your specific needs and goals.

I do not adhere to traditional views of therapy that act to pathologize and views the individual as “broken” and needing to be fixed or cured. I practice from a place of radical acceptance, nurturance, connection, self-compassion and understanding that views the individual as part of a broken system who learned to cope to survive familial, societal, and cultural injustice. In session, you will find me utilizing connection and humor to assist in the therapeutic process.

About Me

I grew up beautiful Southwestern Utah where I developed a deep love of nature, reading, and reality TV. I attended graduate school at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR where I received my masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, and now consider the PNW to be a second home.

I haven’t always felt called to this work, in fact it took many years of self-doubt, fear, doing my own therapy, and coaxing from mentors to take a risk that has completely transformed my life. I often reflect and tell folks that I feel equally, if not more, inspired and changed by my clients as they are me. I love and am passionate about the work I am able to collaborate on with you all.

I have extensive experience working with folks grappling with the aftermath of traumatic events and experiences, low self-worth, self-harm, navigating their belief system, relationship challenges, and anxiety. I am honored and highly value the trust clients place in me to accompany them to the known and unknown alike, I know how scary that is. I love working with people from all ages across the lifespan, but have additional training and experience, as well as a love for, working with children and adolescents.
